Ryan Heisinger is an English teacher at Marion P. Thomas Charter High School. Originally from outside of Chicago, Heisinger studied history and English at the University of Maryland before moving to Newark. An eight-year veteran in the classroom now, he has helped build MPTCHS's culturally-responsive, social justice-oriented English III curriculum, as well as its new social-emotional learning program. But above all, Mr. Heisinger's greatest joy is in the relationships he has with his students and watching them grow.
