For over two decades, Michael has been committed to providing access to high quality education to youth in historically under-resourced communities. His work with educational nonprofits, coupled with his experience in student support services and current role in human capital management, has allowed Michael to study the education sector from several vantage points across the country. Michael is now the Director of Talent Acquisition for the BRICK Education Network, the first and only Black-operated charter management organization in the state of New Jersey. Prior to this, he served as the director of Human Resources for Marion P. Thomas Charter School in Newark, NJ, the largest African-American lead independent charter schools in the state of New Jersey. Previously, he served as the manager, recruitment and staffing for Camden City School District, talent recruitment specialist for the Connecticut Department of Education, and human capital consultant for Seattle Public Schools.



Michael currently serves as the Vice President of the Marion P. Thomas Charter School Foundation and is an Executive Committee member of the Association of Black Princeton Alumni. He is an alum of Education Pioneers and the Emerging Human Capital Leaders Initiative, and is a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a certificate in African-American Studies from Princeton and a master’s degree in Education Leadership, Policy and Management from Seton Hall University.
