Michael serves as the Chief of Staff + Director, Administration for SEEDS – Access Changes Everything. He is also the Founder & CEO of the Ely Prospect Consulting Group.
Prior to joining SEEDS, Michael held positions including Director of Talent Acquisition and Certification for the BRICK Education Network – the first and only Black-operated charter management organization in the state of New Jersey, Director of Human Resources for Marion P. Thomas Charter School in Newark, NJ – the largest African American lead independent charter school in the state, Manager of Recruitment and Staffing for Camden City School District, Talent Recruitment Specialist for the Connecticut Department of Education, and Human Capital Consultant for Seattle Public Schools.
Michael is an Executive Committee member (and past President) of the Association of Black Princeton Alumni. The current President of the Marion P. Thomas Charter School Foundation. He is an alum of SEEDS – Access Changes Everything, Class of 1995, Education Pioneers and the Emerging Human Capital Leaders Initiative, and a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a certificate in African American Studies from Princeton University, and a master’s degree in Education Leadership, Policy, and Management from Seton Hall University.
